Digital Signatures for Contractor Quotes: Turn a Yes Into a Job Instantly

Updated 2026-07-29

A verbal yes isn't the same as a signed quote

"Sounds good, let's do it" over the phone is how misunderstandings about scope and price happen. A signed quote protects both sides — and Trades Chaser makes getting that signature take less effort than the phone call would have, for you and for the customer.

No login required for your customer

Every quote gets its own secure link to a customer portal — no account to create, no password to remember. Your customer opens the link, reviews the quote, and signs with a real signature drawn right on the screen, from their phone or computer.

What happens the instant it's signed

• The quote status updates immediately, so you see the acceptance the moment it happens
• A job is created automatically from the accepted quote — nothing to re-enter
• An invoice generates from the same line items, itemized exactly as quoted
• The signed record stays attached to the quote permanently, in case scope ever needs revisiting

One portal, more than just quotes

The same customer portal that handles quote signatures also gives customers a place to view invoices, see payment methods, and check job status — one link, no login, instead of juggling email threads and phone calls to answer "where are we on this?"

Built for how a real acceptance happens

Customers sign standing in their kitchen while you're still there, or from their phone that evening after thinking it over — either way works, since the whole flow is designed for a phone screen as much as a desktop one. No printer, no scanned PDF, no separate e-signature subscription bolted onto your quoting tool.
